This photo was taken several years ago, before there was much development.  We're north of Port Hinchinbrook, looking south.  You can see the marina in the foreground.  The channel and then down to the squarish pond on the other side of the marina is all that is being developed right now.  Eventually, the channel will be extended through the cleared area in the middle to create a Florida-style canal community.  There will also be a championship golf course.  The areas further south with the sort of rectangular-shaped divisions are prawn farms.  You would never know they're around except from the air because the highway jogs around them on the right side.
