The south end of Hinchinbrook Island, and part of the Hinchinbrook Channel.  If you look closely, you can see the sliver of the channel running along the edge of the island.  The ocean entrance is on the right and the channel runs north for over 30 miles to Port Hinchinbrook.  You can see a few of the maze of mangrove-lined creeks which line the channel all the way up on both the land side and the island side.  This is the largest mangrove area in Australia.  Supposedly this channel has the greatest concentration of salt-water crocodiles on the east coast.  A small cruise ship travels the channel each day.  It is the most sheltered area accessible to the ocean on the east coast.  In case of cyclones, this is the best place to be.
