| Three boats met up in Gayundah Creek, one of the largest mangrove creeks on Hinchinbrook Channel. We rafted up and had a nice party. Patti and I had anchored in this same creek the first time we sailed up the channel in 2003. The mangroves totally protect you from the wind and waves so it's always calm here. When there's a cyclone warning. many boats leave the marina for the greater security of the mangroves. | |
