| The Cardwell Jetty is right in the center of town. That's Hinchinbrook Island to the right. Fishermen (and women) often line the jetty, especially in the cool of the morning. The water here is quite shallow so the only way boats can land in town is at the end of the jetty. The entrance to Port Hinchinbrook is about two miles south and made it much more convenient for local boaters to get out to sea. | |
