Downtown Cardwell, or the CBD (Central Business District) as they call it in Australia.  We're looking south on Highway 1.  Note the incredibly wide shoulders on the 2-lane highway.  We haven't seen this anywhere but Cardwell and it makes it a very popular stopping place for trucks, campers, and anyone else to pull over and take a break.
