Looking south from the jetty, you see the beach lined with trees and the mountains of Hinchinbrook Island stretching to the south.  This is also the opening to the scenic Hinchinbrook channel.  As you follow the beach down to the point in the center of the photo, you can just barely make out a white roof that is part of the Port Hinchinbrook development.
