An old "Queenslander"-style home in Innisfail that has lost its roof.  Probably built in the 30s, they are built up a level to improve the flow of breezes in the tropical climate - not for flooding - although it does help with that too.  There are many uses for the area under the house - garaging of cars, rainy day clotheslines, and kid's play areas.  (Another note - most people here still hang their clothes to dry - only using the electric dryers in a pinch.  Works great!)
