| The male Sunbird is a very small member of the Honeyeater family, only 4" long. They fly like a hummingbird, hovering around flowers while they dip their bill into them. The males have a huge iridescent purple patch under their necks which is really beautiful in the sunlight. We saw this one in The Daintree but we also see them around Cardwell occasionally. | |
