The Brahminy Kite is a raptor and looks almost exactly like a Bald Eagle.  But they're only about half the size.  This one and its mate had a huge nest in a tree just across the highway from us until Cyclone Larry destroyed it.  Lately we've seen a pair flying around in the same area and we hope they will rebuild so we can watch the next set of chicks grow up.
