Skipping a couple of months ahead from Kauehi, we sailed on to the island of Tahiti.  We spent a month tied to the shore in downtown Papeete, the bustling capital, while we got more parts for the autopilot and carried out a complicated repair of our prop (too complicated to go into).  Then on to Moorea, often called the most beautiful island in the world - and we can't argue with that.  There's a great photo of Patti sailing Escapade out of Moorea on another page.  Then we sailed on to Huahine, Raiatea, and Tahaa, another of the Tahitian isles, shown in this photo.  Here we've climbed a hill to have a picnic with some of our favorite cruising friends - Bill and Debbie from "Romance" and John and Aleta from "Holding Pattern".  You can see Escapade as the white dot at center right.
