Most of the dances were, frankly, pretty long and boring although fascinating.  This village really had a great act, though, which they had honed because they're on the coast and sometimes perform for tourists.  But they were really great.  They stain their skins brown with mud and, as you can see, they're wearing nothing but decorations on their penises.  We were there for several hours and then had to wait a lot longer to find a taxi willing to take us all the way back to our boat.  But we made it and felt pretty good about being two of the very few outsiders who would ever get to see something like this.  I mean, topless native women and guys in penis sheaths walking around like it was absolutely normal and that day it was!
