This is the village baker in Loltong. We had met him a couple of
days before when he baked a delicious loaf of bread in the
charcoal-fired oven beside him. But when we were touring with the
principal, he had all this flour smeared over his head. We were
told that his son is getting married and all the son's family did this
as some kind of tradition. They insisted that we come to the
wedding. We had gone to a wedding the year before in French
Polynesia which turned out to be an experience so we were very
interested. |
