Our oldest son Chris and his wife Kim flew to Fiji to spend 10 days with us.  We were quite concerned as to whether it was safe since the country was under martial law and the Parliament was still held hostage.   But the locals assured us that no one would hurt tourists and Musket Cove is well off-shore from the main island so they came and it all went well.  We had planned to sail around with them but decided to just stay at the resort, which they love.  Dick Smith, who developed and runs Musket Cove, is an ex-yachtie and he treats visiting boaters (who pay $4/day to use a mooring) the same as his $500-a-night visitors.  In this case, the resort was only 10% full because of the coup and so the yachties had the run of the place.  Here we're sitting at the $2.50 Bar (every drink is $2.50), the meeting place for our boating friends.  It was wonderful to have Chris and Kim with us to share a little of our tropical cruising life.
